Through after school programs and essential services, our non-profit organization improves the quality of life for families and schools while promoting greater community involvement and empowerment.

WHO ARE WE?
Established in August 2002, FCO is a 501(c)(3) community nonprofit organization focused on empowering students, parents, and the broader community.
We began in Pilsen, a lively and culturally rich neighborhood, which served as the launch point for our community nonprofit organization. Focused on immigration & education, we have grown into a non-profit organization serving communities throughout Chicago and its suburbs.
Our most significant partnership has been with the Chicago Public Schools.
This, along with financial backing from various levels of government, foundations, schools, and private entities, has enabled our community nonprofit organization to offer top-notch services focused on immigration & education to families across Illinois.
As a non-profit organization, we remain committed to expanding access and opportunities through inclusive, community-centered support.

OUR EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Our goal is to foster engaged, informed, and empowered school communities. As a community nonprofit organization focused on immigration & education, we support academic and personal growth through year-round programs and services. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to uplifting families through education and community engagement.
Our educational offerings include:
- After-School Enrichment – Focused on the arts, fitness, sciences, and academic support.
- Technology Programs – Designed for parents and community members to build digital confidence.
- Parent Workshops – Covering student academic support, personal development, cultural arts, trades, and leadership.
- Family Excursions – Exploring educational and recreational sites across Chicago.

Frida Community Organization, a community nonprofit organization accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals of the United States Department of Justice, has been proudly serving immigrant communities for over two decades.

ADULT WORKSHOPS IN EDUCATION
In the Education Department, we offer adult workshops throughout the year to promote growth, learning, and well-being in our communities:
SOCIOEMOTIONAL LEARNING THROUGH SELF-CARE
As a community nonprofit organization focused on immigration & education, we offer workshops that introduce parents to self-care practices that enhance socioemotional skills, fostering positive relationships and behaviors at home and in the classroom.

FAMILY DISCIPLINE
